Me: [Momentary eye widening] I know an English Professor in New Jersey whose work touches on similar materials, would you like me to see if he has time to chat?
LEAWWAASFO: Ooh, yes please!
Me: Triff! Must dash! [Muffled laughter from offstage.]

suttonwriter, would you have time to talk to a lovely young woman? I am going to introduce her to Sherlock, too, because she was wanting to talk about how fan communities influence creators, and it seemed like the most obvious bet.

In other news, North America, I have found all your heat! It's here! So tired, so unable to sleep … Stay warm you lot, stay cool our lot, you chaps back home stay dry, and you Scandinavians, well, at least you can get some work done outside.

I'm sorry for the delay in responding to this. I was in a week of training sessions then, which was quickly followed up by the start of classes and someone opening the Casket of Ancient Winters on New Jersey.

I'll be glad to talk to her, though I'm pretty new with the scholarship myself. If nothing else, I can be another sounding board that can't fail her.

Also, happy early (or on time, if I'm doing my usual wonderful job of remembering how the time change works) birthday. May it be great fun.
