I had a serious post to write …

But I'm too tired.

I did have a fantastic day, though. Knocked over a batch of sewing that needed to be done, ukulele date with [livejournal.com profile] pollymel (who said she never sang on a first  jam, but she did, and is good! Also good at ukulele), then knocked over a spot of writing, three loads of washing and dug out the second sock I need to finish knitting so I can post them to the UK (I always have such a sense of achievement in finishing a sock that I can have real issues with finishing two socks …).

Finally, I managed to wear out the kitten:

Sleeping kitten

His socks are a bit grotty from playing in the cat run. I'm tempted to bathe him, but I have been trying to discourage arm savaging. I wonder if the vet sells kitten wipes?

Aw! I've decided the warm squishy feeling I get when I see sleeping cats is actually jealousy at their being able to nap so often and so deeply.

Don't let him fool you. That whole cats sleep 18 hours a day? 18 minutes for this little boy. He's up again. At least he's quiet and entertains himself while we sleep!

Ha! I've been thinking about the whole 18 hours a day thing. I think I've been looking at it wrong. I always thought they were just kind of lazy but perhaps they're just really, really tired all the time. Poor cats!

You've got him well trained, if he keeps to himself during the night, though ;)

He is a very considerate little cat. My cats camped him out under the sofa on his first night, but he waited until I got up and cleared the way before running out to the litter box and sighing with relief that he could finally stop crossing his little kitty legs!
