Did you lot never have the Wombles? Oh dear, that didn't occur to me, oh well. They're great, you can check them out at: http://www.tidybag.co.uk/ and they move in a sort of purposeful amble, sometimes while plotting mischief, usually while cleaning up mess. A generation of kids learned to tidy away rubbish and hum "Underground, overground, wombling free ..." I am starting to see why Americans think Brits are a little odd now that I think about it.
