Good luck, Americans
Eight years ago, I remember going to bed thinking that tomorrow would be better. This time, I know it will be worse.
I do not think that I will ever be able to forget that so-called Christian Americans chose to vote for a serial adulterer whose campaign was driven by racism and sexism and whose business record is littered with profits made at the excuse of the average worker, rather than a woman.
Goodbye, Obamas. You remain people to admire and I am happy I saw you in the White House. I will remember you constantly over the coming up-to-four years.
The only good news today is that they have found survivors in that hotel in Abruzzo. That is cheering!

(Anonymous) 2017-01-20 01:12 pm (UTC)(link)People who voted for him are just beginning to realize that Obamacare and AHCA are the same thing and don't want it dismantled; they like their insurance.
20 million people and all the seniors who will be left with nothing but vouchers and no coverage if they get their way.
We just have to keep fighting and being aware and staying alert and not getting apathetic or giving in to anxiety and fear or hate.
We can. I prayed for someone to be a leader and Mr Obama is one.
He's going to write a book. The people who hated him are going to try to destroy his legacy and his image and everything he accomplished but it won't work. There are too many of us who believe in him and what he stood for and his optimism for our country and democracy.

I'm so glad to see so much resistance already. The National Mall was empty for Drumpf's concert. There would be more people in a shopping mall on a weekday afternoon than at his celebration. I hope the sting of rejection hurts his feelings. He's disgusting.

We need luck and maybe a prophecy to correct the balance, because we're screwed.

I'm devastated right now, and having a hard time accepting reality. Most Americans did NOT vote for this guy, but many Americans will still end up dying because of him.
It helps knowing that there is still sanity left in the rest of the world. Stay strong.

I am really worried about the next four years. But clearly our nation has some serious problems we need to address. Trump is a symptom of the illness festering within our nation. I would have thought it was impossible to take such a large step backwards, but we did. Now to take the steps forward needed to regain that lost ground.

I heard Harry Belafonte speak over a year ago and he predicted a coming fascism but it is still hard to believe.
Happy birthday, kind Brammers
I hope you had a blast today, with lots of pampering from Mr. Brammers and other loved ones (>^ω^<)❤
