And the winner is ...

[livejournal.com profile] fourth_rose ! Who was the first person to guess which fic I wrote for [livejournal.com profile] hd_holidays . Rose, your incredibly dodgy stick-figure art will be posted here shortly! Well, relatively shortly ...

[livejournal.com profile] marguerite_26  will also receive dodgy art, since she would have been first if she hadn't been changing her icon, and since I have lost track of the number of trains I have missed due to changing of plait arrangement, I can't hold it against her ;-)

I actually kept notes while writing this one up, so I'll post them up once edited, some time in the next week or two. After I finish sewing and writing anti-mpreg ;-)

*gropes you*

OMG!! I adored For the Public Good!!! I'm so thrilled it really was yours. I sent a link to my sisters and nephew! They love great fics but I can rarely send them anything because 90% the time a lovely, plotty fic will stick in a smutty bit at the end.
and they are very much not interested in reading that (or so they tell me.)

So, trust me, there are those of us that appreciate lack of the word COCK in the occational fic.

(I edit my own fics before I send them on, if you are wondering.)

Also, I SHOULD HAVE KNOWN. In fact, I kind of did, but thought, "Nah. Too obvious." *cries*

I'M SO HAPPY I GUESSED IT CORRECTLY IN MY OWN JOURNAL! and sneaky you - you even commented on the post but only mentioned the sir pterry references!

i'm so proud of myself. i'm notoriously bad at guessing mystery authors although i've improved exponentially when it comes to art..

I'm feeling very smug because I merely had to read Romaine's vague reference to it, and I said to myself, "If Blamebrampton didn't write that, then I will eat my hat." Then I went over to it and read the summary/author's note/header what-have-you and said, "Oh, I will eat something far more unpleasant if this isn't hers." Then I read the story and felt free to call it definitively. Although if I remember correctly, I left some wiggle room in my comment juuuuuuust in case, because you know how I feel public humiliation and if it had been written by an impostor, well... You know.

Also, interesting fact, my husband says "Cock" as an expletive. Although not so much anymore, since we have the toddler in the house and don't want her shouting that out in public. But still. *nods*

And I KNEW IT! Hah! Suck on that, people who didn't! *feels superior*
