Do take a look. The photos are the best part. After the initial shock, I decided that Yanna is a champion, as she clearly knows exactly what she wants in life, and damn those who suggest otherwise.

Not my style for a wedding, but it wasn't MY wedding, so why should my taste dictate what someone else does? She looked happy, which is what counts. After all, it was HER day. *nods*

Strangest wedding I ever attended was one (not in Vegas, but in small-town Ontario) with an Elvis-impersonator, The Reverend Elvis Priestly (who later ran for public office) conducting the service. The bride and groom loved it, so that was what was important (though it was admittedly a bit surreal).

I would love to go to a wacky wedding! The ones I am invited to are always so tasteful, even the two German Anarchists that I trotted along to a registry office with back in the 80s. I did attend a mediaeval wedding, but even they took it terribly seriously.

And yes, it's the enjoying yourself that is the important part. I love the fact that she even had the cake done in her fave colours, that's commitment!

Hee! A bit of advance warning would have minimized the wtf factor, I'll admit. Her cousin kept saying just that to me every five minutes, until I finally told him to shut up! *g*

But then I suspect she got a bit of sick pleasure out of shocking her family. ;)
