Police, sirens, big crash!

After an exciting morning spent sorting out all of our e-waste for recycling* and delivering it to the depot, I decided to have a quick nap. Which was interrupted by a siren. Not unusual, this is the inner city, after all. Then another siren. Then quite a few. Then an almighty crash.[Poll #1453860][Poll #1453860]

I was crossing the street that he was driving up, but yes, although his view of the accident itself was blocked, there were flashing lights from sirens everywhere and at least three police in his sightlines, so he is equal with the car-thieving idiot in my Stupid Person of the Day awards.

And yes again, very good luck that no one was hurt!

Planes and trains are our usual means of transport. We'll walk anywhere, don't mind a good cycle, and he can drive if we must, but busses are strictly to be used on a normal inner-city short commute basis, never ever under any circumstances as a tour :-)

Our main way of doing things is to turn up in a city and wander around until we think we've seen everything we really need to see, then we go back and see the things we liked most again. Low-tech, but fun!

Sydney is good to visit, I liked it so much I stayed!
