I had plans for a meaningful post. Or at least to deliver deeply considered comments on a number of other people's posts and some previous ones here. Instead, I come with a VERY IMPORTANT MESSAGE.

Pavlovas have a life of three to four days.

Two people should not try to consume an enormous one within this period.

We might actually make it, but ooooooooooooohhhhh ...

I love pavlova but it is defininately a one slice every three months or less type of dessert.

Having siad that if I was in possesion of a complete one I would definiately give eating the whole thing over 3 days a red hot go. ;) The nausea would be almost worth the effort.

You can wear elastic waisted trousers to work for the next month right?

just the thought of trying to consume something that sweet in such a short period of time makes me feel sick.

Good luck!

I've never had Pavlova. This pic on the wiki looks interesting, though. I did have a similar experience with 12in (approx 30cm) diameter cheesecake back in college. It took a year before I had cheesecake again.

Good Luck!

Well, my husband managed to eat one big pavlova in two days, but that's my husband. He's one of his kind.

I've never tried pavlova but I'm sensing it's a bit addictive?

BB, you must remember, you are a small woman with a small tummy. Only eat entire pavlovas that are to scale. ;)

It's submitted a formal letter of complaint. My liver has been mediating on my behalf, pointing out that I normally eat very well. Good old liver!

Since the day some time ago when you told me about pavlova, I've made a sad impromptu attempt with some broken meringues topped with blackberries and sliced strawberries. Still good, though.

HA! I was over leaving a comment at your LJ while you were typing this :-)

We finished it, I am not dead, it is comparatively low in calories. Back to the healthy food!

If you're not using chopsticks, it totally doesn't count.

Trust me on this.
