No sensible post tonight because I am in a crabby mood. In my next life, I will break fewer bones. No, I haven't mangled new ones, just annoyance from old ones.

In happier news, I had post today! The most wonderfully battered copy of Lucia Vitrix arrived, thank you [livejournal.com profile] treacle_tartlet ! And there was a candy bracelet for me and chocolate coins for Mr B thanks to Small Girl -- sharing her sweets is an act of generosity above and beyond!

I have a do tomorrow night that I want to go to for about a dozen people, but will have to put up with another one hundred who I am not as keen on. I might wait to see what the weather is like and whether or not I have turned to the hard drugs. Yup, I have a fridge full of dark chocolate and Pimms. Need some lemonade ...

Oh, hurrah! I would say that I hope the book arrived unscathed, but I'm not sure that particular copy could get any more thoroughly scathed and still maintain its strucutral integrity. I do hope you can find the time to read it - I love it even more than I love macarons, the Gay Pirates song, and Bradley James's perky little bottom, and that's saying something!

I am finishing my current Agatha and then slipping it into the schedule! And if you are up, turn on Rage, Florence is on next!

Hoorah! Someone else who likes Pimms - its my summer drink of choice.... I mix it with lemonade and dry ginger, not just lemonade though. And the slice of cucumber skin is an absolute must - its not the same without:)

Hopefully Yule will be a lovely time with the people you WANT to see and you can ignore the twonks. Please pass my congrats to T.

It's weird the way we have such similar tastes in some things!

Alas, Mr B decided that Yule was too much stress, and my foot is really quite sore, so rather than argue, I have just decided to take the evening as a chance to get things done and catch up with people over the hols.

Actually sounds like a good plan - its not supposed to be about stress and soldiering on through pain after all, as you know..... :) Enjoy your evening.

Yule went really well and Corin's ceremony was very nice.
So we now have Lochac's 1st quadruple peer and the Known World's 51st Quadruple peer. Which I think is very exciting.

I was sorry that you couldn't make it though. I was really looking forward to catching up with you. The kids all had a really good time. It was wonderful to see all the Lemming kids at a non camping event. They all looked totally gorgeous and ran around getting very excited.

The Boars Head was a hoot! De Stoc had not realised that Rowany always had a Boars Head and did the Boars Head Carol- don't know how that was missed. So it was not there when everyone turned up. We couldn't get one at that late date so Mouse bought a very large watermelon which Lou and Porl spent about two hours converting to the best Boars Head I have seen at a Yule. It had huge tusks and a ring coming out of its nose with an apple with a carving of three Rowan Berries on it in the boars mouth. The whole platter had a garland of flowers around it and it just looked fantastic. I just hope someone managed to get a photo of it.

I was looking forward to seeing you! Though as things turned out I crashed and burned at 8pm, so I may have been just a puddle of goo on the table.

Lou and Porl are bloody champions, I can just imagine it! I hope there are photos, too! And YAY Topsy!

Right, I will have to start seeing if anyone is having a get-together over the hols and angle for an invite to see the kinder en masse, otherwise we shall spend the season going door to door. It's just not the same when you turn up sweating and gasping for a cold drink rather than rosy cheeked, carolling and hoping for a spiced cider ...

Are you coming to the Chrissy Pissy next week. All kinder will be there with bells on and very excited because it is the last weekend before Christmas. So that may be the best time to catch up with lots of us.

Aside from that you can always name an approximate date and time and we can see if we can organise something here.

Not invited as such. Who is hosting? I will see if I can weasel our way in with the promise of a few good bottles of Chateau Cheapie ;-)
