I have boots! Adorable red steampunky ones! And hot chocolate powder. Alas, not the greatest cheaty hot chocolate powder in the world (Perugina Nero 70%, so terribly bad for you but so very worth it), but another, similar Italian brand that may or may not be good. If it's not, people who live locally will be finding surprise sachets in their post. For hangover days. Or to keep passing on until we find people who are happy with anything sugary.

Melbourne. It has good stuff.

Even better, it has glorious people. The brilliant and really quite sexy [livejournal.com profile] pushdragon native guided and revealed yet more of her genius for finding the gastronomic treasures of the Southern Barcelona, while I FINALLY managed to meet [profile] meredyth_13 .

Now, I was meant to meet Mere a year and a bit ago, but circumstances intervened. She had been describing what to look for when we met up, though, and the descriptions ran along the lines of madwoman roughly the size of a barge. I was convinced she was selling herself short. In fact, I am now convinced that the only possible part of that description that could pertain to her is mad, as she is gorgeously tall with amazing legs and looks younger than me, despite me being younger than her and looking younger than I am. And it was not just the fabulously hip hair!

We hit Persuasion, Fashion in the Age of Jane Austen at the National Gallery of Victoria and it was very worth the hit, even though it's a small exhibit. There will be photos. Especially of the finger dress. All will become clear.

I am now knackered and slightly deranged, with double flight ankle puffiness, and failed to catch up with the lovely Bec and Deense, because I had to run back to Sydney, but I am happy to report that my Liking Fandom People I Have Met rate continues at the ideal 100%. And I saw photos of [profile] spark_of_chaos and [livejournal.com profile] geoviki ! *Plots more travel to meet them in actual person!*
