blamebrampton: 15th century woodcut of a hound (Default)
I have long thought that there is little point remaining in journalism, as the medium appears to be dead. The alleged premier television news service in Australia has just run an advert in which the voiceover ran along the lines of: 'Dust storms, torrential rain, now the heatwave in the west. How will Sydney cope? Turn to the news that will see you through all the weather.'

The really upsetting thing about this is that there is also obviously no point in turning to a career as a satirist, because how does one top that?
