I LIVE!

Ironically, I have a horrible cold that is making me feel like death warmed up now that I have my life back, but nonetheless, I live!

Sent the mag to the printers on Friday after working a truly shocking number of hours in the past few weeks, Happily, I recovered from February fatigue just in time to hit overworked exhaustion. Yay!

My entire life is something of a debacle at the moment -- onto my third load of laundry for the day, need to put previously washed things away, have been trying to write but am so tired that I just typed preciously watched in the previous sentence, have guests appearing in a week and must find the floor before then, need to re-do my Help Japan donations because the receipts are somewhere amid my 8572 pieces of unread email, and I am knitting my third baby hat for [livejournal.com profile] oceaxe 's baby, having failed to post the other two in time for the baby to be the same size as the hat.

In happy news, I own THE CUTEST EARRINGS IN THE WORLD. LJ crafter/artist [livejournal.com profile] kath_ballantyne  is taking commissions to help pay for her and her partner's car and meds -- both essential items out in regional NSW. Very reasonable prices and super-fast delivery.

And in other happy news, I do not need surgery on my manky tendon! Well, at least, not if my luck holds. While the tendon currently resembles a frayed bootlace, all of my physio and barre work mean that the ankle itself is lovely and strong and flexible, so the surgeon has sent me off to get orthotics so that my reconstructed foot will be on the same angle as my unreconstructed one, and has given me a firm instruction to wear boots until it's all better.

Me: So your prescription is to go shoe shopping for boots?
Surgeon: Yes. Stout ones with good firm support.
Me: You are the Best Doctor Ever.

I turned up at work the following day in my Docs with skull and crossbone laces, and assured my colleagues they were medically necessary.

Many apologies if I have left any glaring typos, I have just corrected a sufficient number to convince me that I should go to bed and worry about giving the Red Cross more money tomorrow, lest I accidentally be far more charitable than I intended.

Miss you all enormously!
