We took the children to a convention
We are mad people. Though there was a convenient bus, so that was much better than the 45 extra minutes that the connecting train would have involved.
treacle_tartlet was able to continue her genteel stalking of Gareth David Lloyd (who, BTW, I liked much more this year. I think that I am just far too middle-aged and need people to be of a certain vintage for the most part (all young friends on this journal and in RL excepted, you are exceptionally charming.))
Squish had her annual photo with Ianto, I accidentally left my flash on ...

She was not best pleased ...

Mr GDL was very very good with her. Gold star for that man. Julie White was also HILARIOUS, and there were many Doctors (of various vintages) and Daleks. Our fabulously kind and helpful friend
pseudicide was minding Tom Felton and so we asked Small Girl if she wanted to wait in the enormously long line to meet Draco, but she was tired and feeling unwell and it was decided we would be better off going home and watching an HP film, where he has more hair. A passing Amy Pond thought this sounded like an excellent plan.
And, just to prove we had them both with us, here's SG with some friends she made on the way out. Note the pink hair, rainbow tutu and cape!

Later, there were tears when SG became convinced I was going to pull her head off and throw it away. I pointed out how unlikely I was to do this, having just knitted her a nice frock, she replied that she had been very naughty, and probably deserved it.
Things SG is taking home from the weekend: 'Damn you gravity!' 'Never ride a camel' and 'Doors closing, please stand clear.'
