The lovely human formerly known as [livejournal.com profile] theburningboy  and previously by other names?

I STILL owe her mum a Haiti fic, and I have had the Best Idea for it, but need to check if she minds if it's not H/D. [livejournal.com profile] emerald_dragon , yours has been begun, but will be a monster and should probably be posted as a completed thing. Yes, I am crap. But look, more finishing things! I am on a roll!

In other news, we have a casual brushtail possum in the garden who just wants to hang. As long as it doesn't get into the roof, all is well. The cuteness factor is very high. This is not the actual possum, but the adult looks very similar:

brushtail possum

It did poo on Mr B from the tree above, but since possum poo is solid and dry, like rabbit pellets, he coped and merely complimented it on its aim.

I am in contact with the Boy and will pass your question on to her. :) You owe her mum fic? Wow!

Her mum won me! Thanks, Vaysh, you're the best. Feel free to give her my email. MISS YOU! Will soon have a life again, probably ...

Poor Mr B!

But it is cute!

It really is! It was sitting on the fence earlier, as though it was hanging with its homies ;-)

Ridiculously adorable! Though I am reliably informed they can go you if they feel threatened, but it's Australia, everything can ;-)

Possum poo.

Possum poo is possibly one of the greatest word combinations ever. I would make it my battle cry. POSSUM POO!

I STILL owe [livejournal.com profile] theburningboy TWO Haiti fics. I accidentally killed one of them recently by deleting it along with all the backup copies (everybody and their Kneazle has probably heard me cry about it, that's the story of fedora-wearing zombie Draco in New Orleans). By which I mean, YOU ARE NOT ALONE.

Possum poo is very civilised poo, Chante! Marsupials are very good for leaving politely dry and neat little piles that decompose pleasantly. I think it might be a wombat that does perfect little cubes.

I think I will be replacing 'poppycock' with 'possum poo' from now on.

I was going to tell you that I'm persuading father to have his shield?heraldry?selfportrait in his silly old mens club with a tasmanian devil on it instead of an owl, and how cute they were (and how horrifying the cancer pics).

But then I read the poo bit and now I keep wondering if that was how you discovered them or if that was their reaction to being photographed!

Poor devils with cancer! But they are pretty damned adorable!

The possum had been spotted earlier when she was having a trot along the back fence, but the poo came when she made her way out into the tree above Mr B and aimed carefully ;-)

Aww! I'm currently having a squirrel problem in back garden, brushtail possums would be much more welcome. They're so cute!

They are so cute! I like that your husband can be blasé about poo :)

I have to say, as a Kiwi, it is SO WEIRD to see possums being called cute and a cool thing to have in the garden!

When we lived on the Central Coast we had a couple of possums who would come in at night and steal the cat food. They were a bit skitty but we could be in the same room as them. Didn't worry about the cats getting them as they were bigger than the cats *g*
If you went up stairs at night and startled them they would climb the curtains and growl at you.

They are very cute, but do make sure you have no holes into your roof/attic! We've had quite a few troubles with possums deciding to share our home in the past - I wouldn't mind except that they can be _loud_ at night!

I am sure mine will be awesome whenever you're done, I'm not in a hurry. :)

Possums are very cute but I am starting to suspect that there is one living around my house, as I keep hearing suspicious noises on my roof followed by the sound of something jumping into my garden. Whatever it is, it keeps scaring the shit out of me, and I'd very much like it to stop.
