Yes, we do have a ridiculous government - but it is no worse than many other places, and much better than many, so I guess we just keep beavering away at it.
In more important news, cake did not feature in my birthday. Icecream did! I'm still backup on-call, so I'm delaying celebrations until the coming weekend, but work enforces The Cake Act. So. Being a coeliac, cake is something of a pain - and I have a history of doing strange and wonderful things for my contribution to diabetes in our workforce. This year, with the cunning assistance of
