Many apologies for being the worst flistee ever, I have been ridiculously busy with my Jane Austen Self Improvement Project. The attainment of musical skill is going well – I've progressed to what my ukulele teacher calls 'adding musicality', which is teacher for 'doing the tricky bits we let you fudge when you were new and crap'.

Monday nights are drawing lesson nights – I rocked perspective tonight, but cannot draw a circle. If it's actually maths, I'm fine. Art I am still getting my head around. Or aroval, as it were.

Since I can already embroider, this only leaves language and dance. My foot has been too ill-behaved for ballet, so it's been Italian on the headphones at the gym. I need to find someone who has produced Italian Swearing at 160bpm on CD ...

THANK YOU to [livejournal.com profile] bryoneybrynn, [livejournal.com profile] fire_juggler, [livejournal.com profile] groolover, [livejournal.com profile] samena, [livejournal.com profile] chantefable, [livejournal.com profile] nenne, [livejournal.com profile] ladydeth12, [livejournal.com profile] franalan, [livejournal.com profile] cassie_black12, [livejournal.com profile] phoenixacid, [livejournal.com profile] tomatoe18, [livejournal.com profile] raitala, [livejournal.com profile] kitty_fic, [livejournal.com profile] nursedarry, [livejournal.com profile] tabitha666, [livejournal.com profile] leochi, [livejournal.com profile] filmatleven, [livejournal.com profile] cinnatart, [livejournal.com profile] complications_g, [livejournal.com profile] gracilejenn and [livejournal.com profile] sherryillk for all the fabbo blue spiders! It looks like my back garden on my profile, er, aside from the blue fuzziness, socks and top hats …

I started to spread a bit of infestation, but was cut off after 7 :-(.  And then I was going to do a lovely illustrated guide to friendly Australian spiders, when I remembered there are actual arachnophobes out there. Which is a terrible shame, I love most spiders.

Am miles behind in birthdays, sorry! I would pretend that I will catch up tomorrow, but I am doing NotNanowrimo, which involves attempting to write as much as I can on both the sorely neglected novel and the little fic I was meant to finish last month plus the giant fic I have barely begun, and there is no way that I have time for cheerleading and communing on that set of bastards! But surely it can't be that hard, I have knocked out 15,000 words in 24 hours in the past, theoretically, this should be easy.

*Waits for fingers to spontaneously dislocate or some such similar lunacy as always happens whenever I feel that surely THIS will be a good time to get some serious writing hours in.*

(PS I bought the bike, but I need to take photos. It's LOVELY!)

Congrats on the bike! And, don't be too hard on yourself. We all know you are a busy lady. :)

Adding musicality makes me laugh - you'd have thought that was the main purpose of learning to play an instrument?

Congratulations on bike, which colour bike did you end up with in the end?

Yay for more BB fic! How will you be marking your NotNanowrimo? Will you post daily/weekly word counts? I think you should, if only in the hopes that having all of us watching your tally will spur you on! *cheerleads*

*watches finger joints sternly*

I have to thank you for not sharing spiders with us all - yes, you knew I was an arachnophobe didn't you :)
Also I LOVE the Jane Austen Self Improvement Project. Once I finish the hearing year, I may have to do something similar :) I have this violin you see..... can't draw a straight line with the aid of a ruler, could learn to embroider a little better, love learning languages and as you know can dance a little.... and am happy to find excuses to do more of it ;)
