More shelfy goodness!

The remaining Ikea shelves are up, the locals have taken care of the old bookshelf (in 15 minutes! New record time!). The books are mostly sorted, the duplicates are ready to be given away (and WHO has three copies of The Dubliners? What was I on?!) and old magazines that I have no articles in ready to be recycled.

So, after a weekend of domestic virtue, in which I even fed some friends' cats and helped a promising young writer with beta-ing, you would think that the universe would reward me with a warm inner glow.

No. Aching wisdom teeth. Sigh. And Revenge of the Sith is the only non-Olympic related thing on telly. Bah. Anything that can make Ewan MacGregor seem charisma-free is to be shunned. I am taking my book and my hot toddy and going to bed.

Bah, i s right. Worst of the three horrible prequels. Definitely.

I had my wisdom teeth removed when I was 19 -- I don't feel any less wise. Which I guess isn't saying anything really: as is quite the norm, I wasn't particularly wise at 19. That being said, I never do have to deal with an attack of wisdom teeth pain. And believe me when I tell you that their absence has not affected my eating whatsoever. So, there's some wisdom for you.

Just how do you make the fundamentally sweet Star Wars story into such a pile of bilge? It's the Dark Side!

Heh. Yes, I doubt teeth and wisdom can really be joined. As it turned out, it seems that was just part of a general viral infection I've picked up, so ear and throat went manky, too. But I have lozenges to ease the pain until my immune system can take out the virus. Which is better than taking out teeth!
