I have a black eye. Which I gave myself. In my sleep.

Sadly, this is neither the first nor the worst injury I have given myself in my sleep.

How, self? How do you decide this is a good idea?

Am woefully behind in comments, sends love to all but actually goes off to write fic and clean house, probably not in that order.

I had lots of dreams last night, can't remember most of them, only that I stole J's comfy office chair in one of them and was having to put it back before he came home from work so that he would be able to play Internet Spaceships in comfort after a rotten day.

I have never seriously damaged anyone in a bed with me, but that is probably because I toss and turn and flail about so much while I sleep that they have all quickly learned to go over the other side. Even the cats hide down at the bottom of my feet. The Much-Loved Min Cat used to occasionally try sleeping on my hip while I was on my side, but woke up twice to the sound of her "Mwaow!' as she went sailing over the side of the bed after a sharp turn on my part.

I think the part of my brain that is meant to immobilise me while I dream is not quite as effective as it could be ...

I have to tell this story, my husband talks a lot when he is asleep. The other night it was really late but I was still awake doing some LJing, when my husband suddenly sat up and asked me where did I put the $10,000 in cash he brought home, I had to do a double take and then I realized he was dreaming. I decided to play along and told him that I placed the money inside the safe box. (which we don't have)I guess my response was the right one because he told me it was the smart thing to do:)
The next day I was telling him about his dream, and he didn't believe me. Go figure.
