Squee! Yay! Girlie armwaving!

My gift fic at the AS/S fest posted, and it's SO ME! Politics and journalism, my friends, politics and journalism.

Follow the link, nice and short, delicious, delightful and delovely little kick to the end. I have my Suspicions As To The Author, and will be resisting the urge to poke Bryoney until she squeals like an adorable little miniature pig. Not that she looks like one, aside from the huge soulful eyes. But she does squeal like one, my friends, oh yes, she does.

I keep telling people to check out this fest, there's an awful lot of good stuff! Check out By the Book, if you haven't already, too, it's fabulous, as is Potter Shaped Malfoy.

Postings end in a few days, and I am mightily tempted to play the guess my fic game, except I suspect that I am depressingly obvious.

ETA 5 degrees C overnight here, [personal profile] pingrid! Actual winter! and about 9 degrees at 4pm today. Okay, so not winter on the scale of Oslo, or Glasgow, or even Christchurch, but I could have done with a coat rather than the lightweight jackets that are my Sydney staples!

Ah, yes, while I still snicker at the concept that anything with night temperatures on the plus side of zero could be considered actual winter, I will gladly agree that it's far, far too cold and send you heaps sympathy. See? I'm Reformed and Supportive! ;) I'd send you traditional knitwear to keep you warm if it wasn't so hideous, or so impossible to come by in summer.

As for guessing your fic, I do feel confident that my headwear is safe. Looking forward to the reveals, though, as I'm clueless about the rest - not that I've read them all yet; far from it. :/

Ah. Hmmm. Yes ...

Quite the weather we're having!

I have a lovely knitting book of traditional Scandinavian patterns, you know! But the good thing about a Sydney cold snap is you can wait a fortnight and it will be gone for the next three years. Waiting for the 45 deg C summer days to balance this out, now.

Thanks for the Reformed Support! It was luverly!

45 degrees is too much for me, at least if I'm required to actually do anything other than sit in the shade and read and sweat, with the option of submerging in water at irregular intervals. We're at around 30 now, which is perfect, mmmmmmm!

I'll admit to a penchant for woolen socks in traditional patterns, but that's as far as it goes. Give me something plain and black to keep me warm and I'm happy. Or pretentious and black if I'm feeling sentimental.

45 is too much for me, too! Ah, 30, now there's a proper summer for you!
