Squee! Yay! Girlie armwaving!

My gift fic at the AS/S fest posted, and it's SO ME! Politics and journalism, my friends, politics and journalism.

Follow the link, nice and short, delicious, delightful and delovely little kick to the end. I have my Suspicions As To The Author, and will be resisting the urge to poke Bryoney until she squeals like an adorable little miniature pig. Not that she looks like one, aside from the huge soulful eyes. But she does squeal like one, my friends, oh yes, she does.

I keep telling people to check out this fest, there's an awful lot of good stuff! Check out By the Book, if you haven't already, too, it's fabulous, as is Potter Shaped Malfoy.

Postings end in a few days, and I am mightily tempted to play the guess my fic game, except I suspect that I am depressingly obvious.

ETA 5 degrees C overnight here, [personal profile] pingrid! Actual winter! and about 9 degrees at 4pm today. Okay, so not winter on the scale of Oslo, or Glasgow, or even Christchurch, but I could have done with a coat rather than the lightweight jackets that are my Sydney staples!

Ah, yes, while I still snicker at the concept that anything with night temperatures on the plus side of zero could be considered actual winter, I will gladly agree that it's far, far too cold and send you heaps sympathy. See? I'm Reformed and Supportive! ;) I'd send you traditional knitwear to keep you warm if it wasn't so hideous, or so impossible to come by in summer.

As for guessing your fic, I do feel confident that my headwear is safe. Looking forward to the reveals, though, as I'm clueless about the rest - not that I've read them all yet; far from it. :/

5 degrees C over night????? That's not winter, hon.

::lives in Canada::

That's late spring... early fall... camping weather!

Oh! I haven't read By the Book yet!

Ach! *is affronted* I squeal like a little girl in PIGTAILS maybe but honestly! lol

I'm so glad you liked your fic - your mystery author was quite diligent in her efforts to come up with something you'd like. I think this one was her fourth or fifth attempt. You should spill though - I want to know who you think it was! I don't think you'll guess right, though. *smirks*

I heard about the hail in Australia on the news this morning. In an odd fit of compassion, I will not mock you. Cold is no fun if you're not used to it. *cuddles you for warmth*

I think my one fic is pretty obvious as a Bryoney special - follows all the "rules" of a Bryoney fic. The other one, I'm not so sure if people know it's me or not. I think there's one major detail that's a dead giveaway but we'll see...

Oh! I want reveals now!!!

It was 4 degrees when I got up at 6am, which is quite winter enough for me ...

Oooh, new fic! Yes, there's been some awesome fic at the fest, and those two are amongst the best.

I'll see your 5 and raise you FROST! In Melbourne... sheesh! You'd think I was back in Canberra. I suspect I'm am leaving at exactly the right time to get exactly the same weather in the UK. Yaye!

Art Deco, woman... *pokes*

It's been 33-34°C here in New York the last few days. I think I hate you.
