TWO YEARS!

I was going to post some fic or an amusing piece of political satire to celebrate two years on LJ. But I seem to have accidentally have come up with a snap fest. (What was I thinking!?)

So instead, I want to say THANK YOU.

To the amazing writers whose work I have enjoyed …

To the generous readers who have enjoyed mine…

To the artists, who astonish …

To the lurkers, who occasionally pop up to say hi, or ask for cake recipes …

To the people who run fests, comms, archives, rec lists and pimping posts …

To the actual friends …

To the people who lead such interesting lives and think such fascinating thoughts …

To the F1 fans …

To the grammarians and the contrarians …

and everybody else, thank you so much for making this such a fun and welcoming place. I'll be back with fic and politics in the not too distant future, meanwhile, off to organise a scratch fest with the lovely co-mods!

Oh, and an extra thank you to everyone who has so kindly been pimping Azkartaz @ Home! It's going to be great!

Ok, I don't really understand this Azkartaz @ Home thing. Heck, I don't really understand about the mechanics of how you do the Harry Potter fan stuff at all. I see your stories in your journal, and once in a while follow a link in your journal to someone else's stories. How do you know about them?

(wait--perhaps I shouldn't ask--sure, I have more time than I did whilst finishing my thesis, but life is still busy, perhaps I don't really want to know about this...)

A@H is a comm where, from tomorrow, you will find lots of cracky mini-fics (basically silly comedy), some of which will be good, some of which will simply be bonkers ;-)

There will also be one long fic that is being written by many writers, which could be good, or bonkers ...

And there will be lots of discussion on the film and a whole set of Potter topics if you're interested in any of that!

But yes, as to finding things, it's clicking on lots of links and listening to lots of friends, and time disappears once you start!
