Chortling ...

I'm watching an episode of Foyle's War (British crime procedural set during WWII, quite good) and the following conversation just took place --

American Captain: I want someone to come out and give us a talk
Foyle: A talk on what?
American Captain: The English! None of my boys has ever been out of the States before and, frankly, for some of them they feel as if they've landed on another planet. I need someone to come out and tell us what goes on around here ... Until two weeks ago, I didn't even know what a kipper was. We need help.
Foyle: I can see that.

It's not just fandom!

Oh, and if you follow nothing else at [livejournal.com profile] azkatrazathome , do come and check out the drawbles that are appearing in the CCD threads. So very wrong ...

All right and proper. Stiff upper lip and all that.

I've just finished that episode of Foyle's -- Foyle and the American Captain develop a relationship that is almost slashy. I have spent far too much time in fandom ...
