blamebramptonI have long had a very disturbing thing for Boris Johnson. I rationalise it away by saying that he's a cyclist, so aside from his questionable use of his penis and occasionally nutty policies, he must be a decent chap underneath. [Poll #1480605]

Date: 2009-11-07 03:01 pm (UTC)Yes, some things cannot be recovered, though I have had success with much-loved tops being given new collars and cuffs, but it's only worth it for a fabbo fabric or cut. More often I have taken things apart to use as patterns for new ones.
Skirts are most likely to be holed by misadventure, which is a good excuse to add decorative details to cover up the rents.
