I am a mile behind in birthdays, but I could not let yours pass without comment. You are such a supportive, talented and capable young woman. I know that the last few months have been awkward for you: big changes often are. But chin up! You overcame all the madness at work last year and succeeded in the end despite a lot of craziness around you. Similarly, your basic good sense and competence, combined with your big brain, will see you through uni, no matter how barking things become!
I hope that you have had a great day full of good pressies and fun people, and that you look back on this being a very good year indeed! And thank you so much for all the niceness you spread about fandom. Many is the time you've cheered me up, but even more often I've seen you bringing a little touch of loveliness to others who are beset by the glums. It makes me very proud to know you!
And that fact that you are completely understanding about my slowness with your Haiti fic just proves my theory you're saintly. Tragically, all my cunning high farce British political plans for that story have been completely out-done by reality in the past week. Back to the drawing board!
