Oh fandom crazies ... how you make me shake my head ...

There is at least one person who reads this journal who sincerely believes I am anti-American.

I'm not anti-American, I'm anti-stupid American. Smart Americans are some of my favourite things in the world. Normal Americans are completely delightful and fill me with hope that generosity still lives in this modern era. But the stupid ones drive me mental, because in the face of every opportunity, they choose small-mindedness.

And it's not racist: I'm anti-stupid everyone. Which is not the same as being anti-thick. God knows I am thick when it comes to playing tennis, chemistry and about 50% of biology; I can't help it. We're born with our sundry thickitudes, but people choose to be stupid.

So, if you are a stupid American, then yes, I am probably anti-you. But it has nothing to do with the accent.

I think I might be anti-matter.

Dammit! I was just saying above that I am not as good at physics as I ought to be! If I were, I would have SUCH a good joke to insert here!

Have this one instead:

Heisenberg is in a sportscar driving down Route 66. It's a gorgeous day, and it's such a fabulous long road. There's barely another soul on it. And the car just wants to go, who is he to say no? Suddenly, he hears a siren and is pulled over by a traffic cop.

The policeman leaves his vehicle and comes to tap on Heisenberg's window. The physicist rolls it down, and obeys the instructions to hand over his paperwork.

The copper shakes his head and looks at the esteemed scientist. "Professor," he says. "Do you know how fast you were going?"

"No," says Heisenberg, "but I know exactly where I am!"

LOL! I don't think I've heard a good Heisenberg joke (or even a bad one, come to that) for at least 15 years.
