Can't post, too busy searching for the location of the real England Cricket Team and the robotics genius who masterminded their replacements.

I will find you, you fiend!

Perhaps Stuart Broad really is Draco, and without him there's no-one to cast a Sticking Charm to keep the bails on the stumps?

It's certainly a theory worth considering! I love that icon, BTW.

Hee! Rai bequeathed it to me (well, I nicked it from her).

Yes, it always makes me happy to think of her as well as the lovely Mr Broad.

I'm not convinced it is. While there are a number of players with fabulous reputations who are off form, like Ponting and Clarke, others, especially Mitchell Johnson and Mike Hussey, have been consistently talked down coming into the series, but were really just suffering from form slumps. They are in fact very skilled performers.

It is almost certainly the least teamy team they've put up in a long time, but with a number of very strong individuals, I don't think we can necessarily call it weak.

What England has and Australia does not is an actual team that plays like one. Alas, this seems to extend to collapsing in sympathy with your colleagues.

Fingers crossed this unexpected victory does not create an instant cohesion among the Australians. I am hoping that by next weekend the selectors will have done something else stupid and emotions will be spilling about in panicky directions again. Either that or we might need to throw Liz Hurley at Mitchell Johnson ...

It's a cunning ploy! We're just pretending to be crap to keep up ticket sales

I was thinking it was so they could manage to find sympathy shags for all the single lads. Strauss is a very thoughtful captain.

I think it's because the blond quotient has slipped below acceptable levels.

Someone needs to dip the team in bleach

Not Cook, though, he's perfect just as he is. Finn could stand to be a few shades lighter ...

Nods. Finn it is.

Tremlett is a big beast. I'm dwelling thoughtfully on those arms and that height. Very thoughtfully. All that power and aggression mmm

For some reason it is bowlers I letch over. I suspect batsmen are nervy beasts constantly in a funk. Whereas a fast bowler.... no one ever thought of Fred truman as a man living on his nerves.
