None of the ALP members arriving at Parliament House for The Vote have been wearing body armour. I take this as a good sign!

Alas, Harry almost certain to lose.

Somewhat belatedly, I would like you to know that your HP political analogy produced some VERY NOT GOOD Rudd/Turnbull mental images. O_o

You know they make those eyes at each other across the house.

It will be harder now, gaining a direct sightline to the back benches ...

Stop that at once. Although possibly more scope for sending each other saucy txts from the back benches? >_>

Kevvy will be able to make better rolling-eyes expressions behind Jules now that the cameras won't be catching him all the time. Mal will find it hard not to giggle!

Also, I am still ill, and though I am inching from death's door, I still am coughing, and I've got laryngitis.

Julia/Hermione has won, as was expected.

And is Kevin/Harry going back to the backbench? Or will she leave him in as Foreign Minister?

Hear that whizzing sound? SO far to the backbench ... Though reports are coming out of a recount, which won't change the result.

So far to the back he's going to need opera glasses to catch the action.

Talk about being trounced with 73 to 29! Now the question is, is he going to the backbench, or stay in as Foreign Minister?

(I can't unsee Julia as Hermoine now.)

71:31!

Backbench with an arrow (possibly a literal arrow if Wanye Swan gets his way ...)

I can't decide if Kev will wait for the people to clamour for him, or throw his weight behind Stephen Smith or Bill Shorten ... possibly waiting until after Labor loses the next election depending on polling.

Does Smith return to Foreign Ministry d'you think?

What's sad about this, is he seemed REALLY GOOD at being Foreign Minister. And now we've lost him from that, too. :(

I want Stephen Smith for PM. I mean, I want Julia, but I don't think we're going to keep her in the long term. But Stephen rather impressed me, and I think he could beat out the Rabbit.
