As I sat in my cheap hotel room in Rome last night, wondering if it was immoral to just ignore the eternal city outside my doors and have a good bath and a long sleep instead, I realised that the one downside of this past fortnight has been the lack of J.

Everything else has been joyful. Meeting [livejournal.com profile] raitala , [livejournal.com profile] pingrid , [livejournal.com profile] vaysh , [livejournal.com profile] shiv5468  and my darling if poorly [livejournal.com profile] anthimaeria  was fun beyond belief. Florence was a joy, the conference was brilliant, and being flirted with by young men was as good as I remembered (with loose long hair and a push-up bra, a determined woman could conquer much of Tuscany).

But I do miss my J and my kitties and in just 28 or so hours I will see them all! Hurrah!

I decided that it would be unforgiveable to stay in my room, BTW, and since no day in Italy is complete without a two-hour walk, I embarked on one. Picspam will follow, but for now, I need to repack my bag and catch a train to the airport. Take care, all, will update with details as soon as I resemble a human being again.
