I have a lot of complex analysis to offer on current world events, but most of it boils down to this classic sign:

In other news, we have a house! It's, er, odd. It's weatherboard, which will be a first for me, but it is large and light and has a massive covered deck at the back. Or, as I refer to it, my future tapdancing studio. It might be fabulous or we might be moving again in a year. I have an agreement that next house WILL be an Edwardian treasure. We move next week, I apologise in advance for the whining.

In other other news, HAPPY BIRTHDAY [livejournal.com profile] queerbychoice! I hope that this year is nothing like last year. May you be surrounded only by sane people and may all your plants thrive.

Happy birthday, too, to [livejournal.com profile] ellie_nor. I hope that all the present fairies are catching a cab to your place, too laden down to fly!

I've changed out the pic: I think I may have stuffed it up in the original. Not polite language, but pretty much what I have been shouting at the news all week. Some sailor somewhere is really missing his foul language.

I should be better, especially at work. We have Americans visiting the office this week: I am absolutely not allowed to talk, as our ad department have been raving bastards all month and I have spent the last week only able to refer to them as cocking cocks. My entire staff have promised to go along with me in the 'I have terrible laryngitis' plan.

sign says it all indeed. I can't watch the news anymore because it makes me want to hang myself in despair.
In an effort to put some nice back in the universe I rescued a tiny field mouse that was stuck in one of the basement window wells. And then reveled in the discovery of not one but two plum trees ( 2 diff varieties) on our property I did not know about.

Gardening will be awesome. Growing things you can eat even more awesome.
