It took me a while to get into the style of this fic - nothing bad on your part, just a personal inability to get used to present tense fic anywhere near as quickly as I should. That aside, it was really good. I did a happy dance when you told me the next installment was up and I wasn't disappointed.
You convey side stories with hints and glimpses which adds to the tapestry of the lives of these characters, including the castle.
I found it poignant when the castle told Scorpius "You cannot lose us all in one day" or words to that effect. It tugged on my heartstrings a little and then I felt a bit odd for feeling sorry for a building. Then I felt justified, because I would not have felt anything had you written the character of the castle badly. So, in my twisted, and yet oddly logical, brain I am quite content having emotions for a school ... Ahem, moving right along.
I liked the non-too-subtle way you got rid of Ginny out of this. I could see that she wouldn't add anything further to the story, so the Ginny/Luna sub-plot fitted in nicely. It all does make James the odd one out of the Potter family though!
Well done, BB, and I can't wait for the H/D DVD extra!
