As she sat there content, freed of feelings quite woeful,
(Which wouldn't have mattered if Sydney had Christmas snowfall)
She checked on her email, and found she was quite dim!
A GIANT thank you went out to lovely

(Who I will email just as soon as I can get this bloody Gingerbread Hut to stand up straight. Ish.)

I gave up on the whole Gingerbread hut idea and made cookies. I envy your courage. But hey, you could go for realism - just put lots of mashed gingerbread around it, and dribble chocolate over the whole lot, and call it 'Home'.

Seriously, woman, a small jury-rigged bic lighter isn't really that much of a fire hazard. We are going for realism, right?
Or you could just soak the whole lot in alcohol and really set it on fire, although that might taint the chocolate. *ponders*
*pokes and giggles*

Date: 2008-12-24 04:25 am (UTC)Also, feel free to have some of our snow. We have about two and a half feet in the backyard and almost five in the front from all the walk shoveling. It is very pretty though. I took Buddy for a walk tonight and looked at all the houses lit up and snow covered and it made me feel good inside.

Date: 2008-12-24 07:27 am (UTC)I have been missing my hound, too. This is definitely my last fest ever, hurrah!
(And more hurrahs, the Hut is done and the plumber (aka Jim our neighbour) has been!)
I would love to have a little of your snow. Although it is cool today, the horrible hot will leap out at any minute. It was 110 degrees in the old money here the other year (actually a bit more, 45C) on New Year's Day. We live near the coast! Madness!
Glad that you're still finding the beauty in it, even if it is a wee bit buried. XXX BB
