38° C (100°F) today. J snapped, went to the shop and bought an AC unit that has two-parts and does not need to be attached to the house.[Poll #1331551]I do not promise to be swayed by the vote, because this lj is a monarchic system. You seem to have some sort of order by now. And less heat. On the rare occasions when it gets that hot here I tend to shelter in an airconned cinema - I saw an awful lot of very bad movies in 1976...

Ooh yes, I was in Kenya that year and my grandmother's letters made it clear that I was having the better end of the bargain since at least my oppressive weather came with elephants! Though having lived in Australia through this last drought, I now have a new appreciation for the term; years without rain in some areas.

And hurrah for order! (which won't be strictly followed, but which is a serious help in planning; a skill in which I am woefully lacking)

Really going back to bed now, before all the cool wears off ;-)
