Packing, packing, packing ...
Of on the epic journey from the anitpodes to the podes tomorrow, but I have just been struck by something.
For anyone seeking to understand how living in modern Australia is increasingly a productive balance between the West and the Orient, I have just waxed my Barbour jacket and ironed my furoshiki.
In my only disturbing travel news, I have been to four shops and been unable to source bags of Violet Crumble! WOE!

Also, yeah - apparently the factory that made the small sized violet crumbles closed down or something a couple of months ago. They can still make the bars, but not the bite sized (or so Cherry was told).
Haven't been any bulk bags in teh stores for ages - it makes me cry. :(

Damnit, I'd lost track of time and didn't realise how soon you were off. I will leave off posting EF Benson's Lucia Victrix until you make good your return, my dear!

The Barbour jackets are lovely. And now I'm studying the art of using a furoshiki. Thank you!

Perhaps it's only closed temporarily? Which, yes, doesn't help the people on your journey, but still allows for hope in the world...
Bon voyage!
