HAPPY BIRTHDAY
elissande ! I hope you've had a fabulous one.
And briefly, if anyone is looking for a very good insight into the unfolding of the revolution in Egypt, Salma in the Square is Foreign Correspondent's on-the spot documentary following one of the young anti-Mubarak revolutionaries through the last three weeks. I am not sure if the video (it's only 30 minutes) will be available outside Australia, but the transcript below is. The section when the pro-Mubarak forces stormed the square is particularly terrifying, while the quietly pro-Mubarak shopkeeper who rescued the Australian journalists is inspiring -- and his determined courtesy so very Egyptian.
