My trip to Florence is becoming more exciting by the day! And I will leave that cryptic note for the moment until more things are finalised.

I briefly contemplated becoming Stephenie Meyer's nemesis, but then, as I said to someone recently, I think she is more the Bay City Rollers of publishing than the U2 of same. And for everyone saying "Bay City Who?" well, exactly, time will take care of her. So I will use my time more purposefully.

Is it appalling of me that living more purposefully has turned out to mean writing Remus/Sirius darkfic? Still, at least two stories will be posted this month, one H/D and one AS/S, so for the people who are only here for the fic, there is light on the horizon.

Managed to post one of four fandom related packages today. It could well have been two, or even three, if I hadn't managed to lock myself out of the house for an hour. Oops.

Well, Stephanie Meyer writes her own words, and creates her own mythos of vampires!

LOL

Oh man.

Which is to say, did no research whatsoever.

The BCR played in previously established keys, you know.

Should what? become her literary nemesis? I suppose it would finally mean I could recycle that old abandoned novel about the Greek Gods hanging out in 1980s London (because the music scene there was better than that on Santorini)

I'm not sure I can write badly enough for the contemporary market. Also, I'd have to learn new bands, all the ones in the original are dead. Though I could just substitute The Wombats who sound like half of those bands ...

You could! I believe in you! We'll just take everything we like and turf it, replacing it with shite we want to laugh at. All your descriptions must be ott and florid and things, and... yes.

I had a whole subtext in which Artemis tries to survive as a tutor at a university and ends up killing some of her students rather than having to read their essays. Can we keep that? I was personally attached to it ...

Yes. Of course you can. You should put it all in italics!

OMG, you were writing Xanadu. (The movie, not the poem.)

There was no roller skating!

I've never actually seen it, though I loved the Rita Hayworth film with a similar storyline. I used to be able to sing the theme song, to my deep shame.
