About five minutes before lj does its annual implosion, I have learned something that should have been obvious (but I am thick).

I needed to have an flocked tanty, because sometimes a girl just needs to swear on the internet, but there's no reason anyone other than her nearest and dearest need to hear her raise her umbrage above a bottom! or quim!, so I f-locked it.

It has long been my habit to check my entries by clicking on a friend's friends list, so I can make sure that all of my cuts and so on made it in, and that I remembered to leave out the more egregious typos.

But it was not there!

At which point I recollected I do not have myself friended. So it was invisible to me! The system works!

It is possible that I am overly amused by small things.

The LOVELY THING is the beautiful New Year card that [livejournal.com profile] raitala  sent me! It makes me smile every time I see it, and I am hugely lucky to have her as a friend.

The plaint is that most of you are Terrible Influences, and I have been writing birth scenes when I should be sewing for my friend who lives up the road. She needs her frock by Friday, so I am going to ignore you now, but couldn't just one person have been kind and asked if I had heatstroke or some other likely malady to explain the madness?

What madness? Everything seems perfectly normal to me. :P

But we LIKE the madness, BB. It produces such wonderful Pansy-Draco/Harry lovelies for us! AND HAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA to the idea of your Draco giving birth. SO GOOD!

No frock sewing, only crack!fic mpreg writing. I suggest pulling an Emporer's New Clothes on her. What? It could work.

Never!!!

And also, thanks for the intro to frantic_mice. I'm kind of in love with her! I mean, I knew her before but getting to know her better, she's so the shit.

Raitala's cards are things of beauty, aren't they? :)

Some time back LJ made it so locked things that you can see don't show up on someone else's friends list, even if you can normally see them. This was because too many people were paranoid idiots and thought that because they could see locked stuff on other people's friends lists (but the other people whose friends list it was couldn't see it normally) this meant that the other people in fact could see it. So LJ eventually said "fuck this noise, the only place you can see locked stuff is on your own friends list or directly at the journal". So that's why you couldn't see it there. (You would have been able to in the past.)

Ah yes, I remember it did work that way in the past.

I wasn't even aware they changed it. Heh.

XD LJ does strange things...At one point, didn't all entries show up for the poster, though? I remember experimenting with that..

Because we already knew you were mad!

That makes no sense to me... but my brain hurts. Wouldn't you see it anyway? *ponders*

No. If you do not have your own journal friended, you cannot see locked posts when looking at your main page (http://journalname.livejournal.com).

Implosion complete. Lasted, oh, about 40 minutes.

And I told you, when you FINISH THE CRACK, I will prescribe you an antibiotic, a cuppa tea and a nice lie-down. :)
