It was a mere 30 or so here today, quite thoroughly bearable. In Adelaide, the city of churches and blessed public pools, it was nearly 46 degrees Celcius. That is over 110F.

THAT IS INSANE!!

Melbourne was a balmy 42 by comparison, and neither city is scheduled to drop below 40 during the day for the next several days, nor far below that at night.

Poor old Canberra is nearly as badly off.

Feral, Mere, Jamie, Emerald, and you Adelaideans, HIDE IN THE FREEZER AISLE AT THE SUPERMARKET!!! Stop pretending it's bearable, it's completely not! Hell, come up to Sydney for the week, it's passably reasonable here.

Finally, HAPPY BIRTHDAY [personal profile] separatrix !

YOU ARE THE BEST BIRTHDAY PRESENT I RECEIVED!

Sorry, momentary attack of squealing girl, I have just missed the avocado so.

You are right, there's that fucker in Adelaide who says it is all sunspots. Clearly, this is the planet showing him what is what.

:)

Do you have the address of this fucker? I'll sort out his sunspots next time I'm in Adelaide.

I miss you. Have a fantastic time in NZ. I believe it is true that their sheep are trained to attack and eat foreigners.

He's at one of the unis, I will hunt it out and send the enormous comment of glee that my birthday poem deserves when I return from the wilds of the Canterbury Plains, whence I am headed in about an hour ... So far no carnivorous sheep, one slghtly needy smelly dog ...
