I was talking with

pingrid earlier about our love for Professor Sprout and Miriam Margolyes, who plays her. She often lives in NSW and I sometimes see her at the theatre, whereupon I have to run in the opposite direction before I say something so appallingly idiotic that she kindly asks me 'Are you deranged, or just a wanker?'

As part of the conversation, I told Pin about MM's appearance on Enough Rope, a peculiarly Australian sort of interview show, where people are nice and no-holds-barred in equal measure. It is the only interview that I have had to press record during because I was laughing so hard I could no longer hear the subject. I recommend taking the time to watch it on YouTube (there are 4 parts), or, if you have a tiny download limit, reading the transcript here, which is very nearly as funny.
