It was meant to be 39C/100F today, but after a stinking hot night, the cool change arrived early and was magnificently cool.

So I went to spin class after all, having gone yesterday in expectation of missing today.

Ouchie.

But then I blazed past a tosser on a BMX on the uphill stretch of my trip home … Worth it.

Meanwhile, HAPPY LATE BIRTHDAY to [livejournal.com profile] tnumfive, I hope that whatever you are up to these days, you are having a wonderful time!

Also to [livejournal.com profile] teas_me, you delightful person: thank you so much for all the wonderful things that you do, especially all the podficcing with your fiery comrade! I hope that this year is smoother sailing for you than last year and that ALL THE CAKE was delivered for your birthday!

And to [livejournal.com profile] lllazlllong, what are you up to these days? I hope unwrapping pressies and consuming deliciousness has formed a part of the answer at least!

And finally to [livejournal.com profile] kestrelsparhawk! I would wish for you sane politicians who actually work for the betterment of society as individuals as well as the theoretical 'whole', but that's about as likely as me embarking on a career as a Swedish supermodel or Russian chess grandmaster. So instead I hope that there were cakes and presents or at least fabulous books!

Yay for the cool change.
We actually got over 40 here in Hill End (and Bathurst was hotter) for the first time in the 2 1/4 years we've lived here.
It was, therefore, not a good day for the car to decide it couldn't handle the aircon on without over heating.
Had to drive the whole way into and home from Bathurst without it. *dies*

Damn mountains in the way.
There is the possibility of a tiny bit of rain this week though. God I hope so. The grass is like paper.

As someone who decided to catch up on lack of exercise yesterday by both running and doing a sweaty yoga class I feel your pain! Today is gentle walking - we are promised a bit of sunshine (hooray) and 2 degrees, brrh! If you are too hot go to the cinema, they are always cool (well, they are here). Am off to see Les Miserables today, it's the musical music I've heard the most ever so fingers crossed it lives up to expectations (it has got fantastic reviews).
