A limerick. Oh shut up.

There was a young writer of fic
Who could not master writing 'bout dick
She had character, plot,
But of sex not a jot,
And her readers said 'Bugger this for a load of old cobblers, I'm off to find some porn'

In happier news the notes to flisters F-H are actually up here, and for those with user names C-E are here and A-B are here. While I still hold that this was a good idea, it takes MUCH LONGER than I thought it would, and I have really really sore arms at the moment. This is because I have been rearranging the house and putting up new shelves, which led to a bit of stiffness, so I went to see the sadistic Chinese Massage Man, which means I am now still stiff and also bruised. I should point out that the second part of that was not intentional on my part.

Also, if I forget anyone, it's NOT PERSONAL, it's INCOMPETENCE, which I abound in. One person defriended me and I had a momentary panic it was because I had accidentally said something horrid, when I realised that I had actually omitted her! I'm trying to work out if I should say anything ...

:D It's too fitting for words that I'm going north for my grandmother's 85th! I can't remember if the airport shuttle passes through Hell, but if it does I'll try to snap pics of some signeage to prove I've been there and back. ;)

I do exaggerate. It'll be good to see people again, and it'll probably end early - which gives me the opportunity to go to a friend's birthday bash afterwards. It's all very efficient, actually - fly up on Saturday morning, go to two parties, fly back again on Sunday afternoon. I can pretend to be an international jetsetter!

If Phillipa Gregory can make a fortune from bodice rippers, so can you!

If you write the plot I'll write the porn, we'll both be rich and sadly HAVE to travel to all sorts of wonderful museums. For research!

You know, that's not such a silly idea. Pick a period from 1200-1650!

It'd probably be most commercial to stick to England and/or France for the first one, and I think the Gregory woman may have cornered the market for c 16, so how about early to mid 15th century? Hundred years' war, thriller and squick-factor with Gilles de Rais, and the feisty hero or heroine can be instrumental in ending the war somehow.
