An update post on the Victorian fires later tonight, and for anyone wondering when the plague of locusts is going to descend, that was last November.

One of the reasons I left NSW was because the locusts kept eating my garden. *cries*

I used to be very blasé about things and was often heard to say 'Oh, in Kenya ...' or 'Oh, in India ...' or 'Actually, in Wales ...' But over the last few years I have been forced into the realisation that Australia is just bloody weird.
